My mom is 5’10’’
And growing up people used to give me unsolicited career advice
And it was always the same stuff
Stuff like
"Gee your tall
You should play basketball"
And after awhile
I noticed that the only people who told me that I should play basketball
Are the people who never seen me play basketball
'Cuz I suck dude
I was always the guy in basketball
That you passed the ball to on accident
Before you realized who it was
Then your like
"Shit, thats a turnover
My bad coach
It's the Milton guy again"
My friends called me a gunner
And when people call you a gunner in basketball
That means you always shoot the ball
Everytime you get the ball
Your like a Seattle police officer
You don't even think about it you just start shooting
And if I was shooting from more than 15 feet away
I'd always make sure to yell
"Put down the knife!"
